Mary Hewitt's Spinach Dip

  • 1 pkg frozen chopped spinach (thawed)

  • 1 can water chestnuts

  • 1 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream

  • 1 pkg vegetable soup mix

  • 1 French loaf

Drain spinach and chestnuts and chop finely
Combine with soup mix, mayonnaise, sour cream and chill for several hours
To serve, cut thick slice lengthwise from top of loaf. Scoop out bread leaving a shell.
Fill loaf with dip, cut bread into chunks and serve with dip
