Streusel filled Coffee Cake

  • 1 cups flour

  • cup sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • tsp salt

  • cup shortening

  • cup milk

  • 1 egg

Streusel topping

  • cup each brown sugar and nuts

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 2tbsp melted butter

Blend all ingredients and beat hard for minute
Put half batter in greased 8X8" cake pan
Sprinkle half the topping
Add the rest of the batter and cover with the remaining topping
Bake 25-30 minutes in a preheated 375F oven
